Licensing

To seek employment in a private practice or medical setting in the State of Nevada, you must obtain a license from the State Board of Examiners for Speech Pathology and Audiology. You may contact them by calling (775) 857-3500.

To obtain employment in a local school district, you must have a valid teaching license from the State of Nevada Department of Education. You may contact them by calling (775) 687-9115. Simply state that you are interested in gaining employment in a local school district as a speech-language pathologist. You do not need to obtain a State Board of Examiners license to be employed in a local school district; however, if you were to do per diem, etc. in another setting, you would need to obtain that license.
