Audiologists and SLPs in private practice face a constantly evolving policy and regulatory landscape. In Part Two of this series, presented by ASHA’s Health Care and Education Policy team, NHSA members will receive timely updates on ASHA’s federal advocacy efforts as well as anticipated changes to Medicare payment policy in 2026, ASHA’s involvement in CPT code development, the shift toward value-based care, and the emerging role of artificial intelligence in clinical practice.
Learning Objectives
Participants will be able to:
a. Describe the opportunities and important considerations associated with the use of AI in clinical practice
b. Determine how changes to Medicare payment policy will impact their practice in 2026
c. Articulate the importance of accurate coding to ensure compliance with ethical, legal, and payer standards
